Tax Credit Scholarship
Indiana’s Tax Credit Scholarship program was created in 2009 as a way to give families who meet income guidelines an opportunity to send their child to a participating private school. The Institute for Quality Education (IQE), one of five approved scholarship granting organizations (SGOs) in Indiana, manages donations and makes distributions of scholarships for our students at Vincennes Catholic Schools.
Scholarship Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for a $250 SGO Scholarship, a student must meet all of the following requirements:
1. Be a resident of Indiana enrolling in pre-kindergarten through grade twelve.
2. Family must be below the following Income Guidelines.
3. An application must be completed for each student in the family.
4. A copy of the previous year's Federal Tax Returns must be submitted with the applications.
Following a review, the school administrators will submit the application to the Institute for Quality Education for the granting of the SGO scholarship.

Scholarship Donation
It is through the generosity of private donors whose donations are earmarked for the Vincennes Catholic Schools, that the Institute for Quality Education can award these scholarships to our students.
Each year, we continue to raise funds for the SGO Scholarship. Individuals or companies in Indiana are eligible to receive a state tax credit equal to fifty-percent (50%) of the amount donated. Since IQE is a 501c3, these donations will be eligible for a federal tax deduction as well. Donations may also be specified for Vincennes Catholic Schools.
