FAQs
Does my child have to be Catholic to attend Flaget?
No. Although we practice the Catholic faith, attend Mass, and teach a faith-based education, your child does not have to be Catholic to attend!
I don't think I can afford to send my child to Flaget. Are there scholarships or payment plans?
No problem! 86% of our student body attend tuition free through the various scholarships we offer. Click here to see if you qualify.
Will my child or our family be pressured to convert to Catholicism?
Not at all. We encourage every student to learn more about the Catholic faith, but by no means do we persuade or require anyone to join the church at any point. Students who are not Catholic are invited to participate in Mass and other opportunities at the same rate that students who are Catholic do.
What does a faith-based education look like?
Glad you asked! At Flaget, not only do we teach our students to better their education, but also to develop a strong moral compass. We strive to produce good test scores and foster the growth of good citizens. We achieve this by attending weekly Mass and offering Religion class every day. Out students go through the Sacrament of Confession, partake in the Holy Eucharist, and First Communion. Flaget students are also encouraged to participate in a service project each month usually planned by our student-led Student Council.
When may I arrive in the morning and what are the school hours?
Our school is open from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm beginning two weeks before the first day of school and ending two weeks after the last day of school. On a regular school day, students may arrive at 7:30 am and attend Wake-Up Walk until 7:45 am. Students arriving after 7:45 am will go directly to their homerooms. Students who are not seated and ready to learn by 8:00 am are considered tardy. Dismissal begins at 3:00 pm. Students who are not picked up by 3:10 pm are sent to Playsafe. Playsafe is our after-school care program that runs until 6:00 pm.
Does Flaget offer after-school care?
Yes! Playsafe is the name of our after-school care program. It is open from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Students who are not picked up from school by 3:10 pm are sent to Playsafe. The cost for Playsafe is $5.00 per student per day.
